​Renewing Registered Risk Practitioner (RRP)

All you need to know about renewing your RRP status.

Each practitioner will be invited to renew their status on an annual basis. To do this, you will need to complete and return the renewal form, summarising relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities in the preceding year.

In order to renew your status, risk management professionals must be able to provide evidence of at least eight CPD points, having been gained in two or more of the categories listed on the renewal form.

Successful applicants will receive a new certificate, dated for a further 12 months.

Renewal fees

  • ALARM full members: FREE
  • ALARM associate, retired, unemployed, or honorary members: £25 +VAT
  • Non-members: £50 +VAT

Appeals procedure

Should an applicant to renew RRP status be unsuccessful and you have reason to believe that the decision was unjust, there is a right to appeal the decision.
