ALARM RISK REGISTER 2025 SEMINAR

Friday 23 November 2018 - 09:30

Clayton Hotel, Albert Street, Birmingham. B5 5JE

ALARM, in partnership with Gallagher and Browne Jacobson, are holding a one day seminar on future risks for organisations, and we are pleased to announce that we have secured Tom Cheesewright, Applied Futurist, as our main speaker. Tom, who attended the ALARM Conference in June as part of Gallagher's workshop, will work with delegates to produce a risk register for 2025.

The day will give you an insight into using Applied Futurist Thought, as delegates assist in identifying risks facing member organisations in the next seven years, where these should be plotted and how they can be mitigated. The aim of the seminar is to identify new risks which have previously not been considered, and to start building plans to manage them.

In addition to Tom, we will also have speakers from Gallagher and Browne Jacobson delivering their own thoughts on future risks, including:

  • Jake Hernandez, a crisis management expert from Gallagher, will explain 'Black Swan Events', give previous examples and highlight how these should form part of an organisations risk planning process and be incorporated into crisis management and business continuity strategies. Jake will also consider what events may be possible in the 2025 timeframe, particularly those connected with the rapid pace of technological change.
  • Michael Mousdale, Partner at Browne Jacobson, will discuss the rise of robots through artificial intelligence and autonomous vehicles, and the opportunities they will present in public service delivery and infrastructure, including Smart Cities. The session will also consider the challenges being faced in terms of how the technology will be delivered and paid for, as well as the concerns around effects on labour markets, data protection and cyber security.
  • Bridget Tatham, Partner, and Mukesh Kainth, Solicitor, at Browne Jacobson, will be looking into the series on the future of claims originally started in 2016 by Nick Parsons, in his capacity as President of FOIL.
