In-vehicle technology has come a long way over the last 20 years however, what exactly is in-vehicle technology? This is a question that will raise many different answers, from many different sections of industry who all use the many different types of in-vehicle technology for different reasons.

Autonomous vehicles will be the ultimate use of in-vehicle technology and although this era is getting closer, it could well be more than 20 years’ way before all vehicle are autonomous. This means that until such a time arrives, the act of driving will still be very much an integral part of vehicle movements. As such, the use of current in-vehicle technology should be utilised to its maximum effect, to ensure driver safety and the safety of all other road users. Failure to do so could and will ultimately lead to catastrophic consequences for fleet operators by way of loss of revenue, brand reputation and prosecution.

Karen will provide an insight into how technology is a vital tool in improving road safety, reducing collisions and casualties, improving fleet management and why data management is so important. The session will also highlight how technology will actually save money when used to its maximum effect, thereby providing a positive return on investment and enhancing a company’s bottom line.
