Gallagher Bassett is the largest third party administrator in the UK, providing claims management and risk control services to an expanding and diverse array of clients. The aim of our Risk Control Division is to reduce the cost of our clients risk through the implementation of Total Cost of Risk (TCR) projects. TCR involves liability data analysis, leading to the targeted provision of health and safety, and risk management services to reduce our client’s liabilities and associated costs.

Expanding your horizons

Operating primarily within an established public sector client base, but with increasing involvement in the private sector, the scope of your role will be exceptionally diverse. As well as involvement in the provision of health and safety consultancy services, your role will also include the broader subject of enterprise risk management. This includes data analysis and the production of claims analysis reports with a view to assisting organisations in the effective management of their liability exposures, while also helping to embed risk management principles and practices when required.

Primarily working from home, but attached to our Swindon office, you will maintain responsibility for contracted clients located throughout the South West of England/M4 corridor. Travel to other national destinations will be required on occasion. Opportunities for international travel may also be available. A full driving licence is essential.

To be considered, you will have achieved NEBOSH diploma level qualification or equivalent in occupational health and safety. Ideally, you will also maintain a risk management qualification, however this is not essential if you are willing to undertake further study to gain the necessary qualification.

You will be a highly skilled communicator with a proven record of success in developing and delivering training programmes, as well as conducting audits and the provision of competent advice. You will have clear ability to work with and influence all levels of an organisational hierarchy. Although part of a team, you will also need to be highly motivated and able to manage and prioritise your own workload.
