Chiltern's MS Centre has received a £1,000 donation, courtesy of insurance brokers JLT Speciality Public Sector UK Retail and Maggie Gibb, Head of Business Assurance at Buckinghamshire County Council.
Maggie was the winner of JLT's prize draw at the 2017 Alarm Conference in Manchester. The prize was a donation of £1,000 to a charity of the winner's choice and Maggie had no hesitation in nominating Chiltern's MS Centre as the recipient. The charity provides valuable care and support to people living with multiple sclerosis and offers a number of life changing and supportive therapies and treatments.
Sharon Cooper from Chiltern's MS Centre said: "on behalf of us all at the Chiltern's MS Centre I would like to thank you so much for coming over to see us and presenting us with the cheque of £1,000 from your prize draw competition which Maggie won and donated. Thank you so much Maggie, this will make such a huge difference."
This was the ninth year in succession that JLT has held a charity prize draw at the Alarm Conference. Previous beneficiaries have included Somerset Wildlife Trust, Blue Cross Animal Charity, Prostate Cancer UK, Claire House Children's Hospice and the RNLI.
Julia Reffell, Head of Practice at JLT Speciality Public Sector UK Retail said: "we are humbled by the warmth and gratitude that this donation continues to generate and we are delighted that we have been able to support a charity that provides such valuable care and support to its members."
