An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Risk Management Officer who is passionate about supporting council officers in making a difference to the lives of residents in Barking and Dagenham. As a Risk Management Officer, you will lead the implementation of the council's risk management strategy across all services, instil an effective risk management culture and support and advise service heads of service in managing their risks.

This high-profile role will allow you to fully utilise your programme management skills to make a significant impact on the service and the council. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders internally and externally to drive meaningful change.

You are a skilled risk professional with experience of delivering risk management support and advice within a multi-service environment. Communication is a strength of yours and you have a proven track record of presenting to groups at all organisational levels and managing projects. You are looking for a lead role where you can use your skills and experience to collaborate with teams across the organisation and instill a strong risk management culture. You are passionate about making a difference, focused on value for money, and enthusiastic about joining the improvement journey in Barking and Dagenham.
