Risk Manager, Nottingham Trent University
Nilesh is the Risk Manager at Nottingham Trent University, responsible for oversight of the University’s risk framework, governance structure, and assurance reporting across strategic and operational risk portfolios. With over a decade’s experience in complex risk focused roles across higher education and the public sector, Nilesh now lead risk management initiatives that drive continuous improvement and embed robust assurance across the University, supporting delivery of their strategic ambitions.Insurance Manager, Newcastle University
Experienced Insurance and Operational Risk Manager with over 30 years in the insurance industry, spanning UK and international general insurance, life and healthcare. For the past 17 years, I have served as Insurance Manager at Newcastle University within the Corporate Finance team, leading the University’s UK and international insurance portfolio implementing operational risk management. I am a driven and resilient professional, focused on delivering practical, proportionate solutions that mitigate risk and strengthen organisational resilience in complex and fast-moving environments.
Associate Director of Risk and Assurance, University of Nottingham
Ang is the institutional lead for risk, assurance, and regulatory compliance for the University of Nottingham, responsible for the development and embedding of the University's risk management, assurance and policy management frameworks across all strategic and operational areas, together with governance oversight of statutory and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with obligations. Prior to joining the University, Ang held a number of senior finance roles in multinational organisations within the private sector across the water, pharmaceuticals, health and beauty manufacturing, and the fashion industries, after originally training at KPMG. She is recognised for developing and strengthening compliance frameworks, continuous improvement initiatives, and delivering robust control environments across complex, multi‑entity operations. Ang is a current member of the ALARM HE Committee.
Risk Manager, Newcastle University
Kelly has been a Risk Manager in the higher education sector for ten years. Kelly also spent sixteen years in a range of different roles in financial services prior to joining Newcastle University in 2014 to oversee strategic risk and operational risk. Kelly is also Chair of the ALARM Higher Education Committee, working to raise the profile of risk management across the HE sector.
