Session
Chris will deliver a facilitated and interactive session on how to develop and embed the foundations of risk literacy to stakeholders. This will include how to effectively promote competence and confidence with strategic risk owners, how to ensure that there is consistency in practice, how to promote a risk culture that enables defensible change and how to ensure that enterprise risk management is a value adding function. In doing so, participants will be given the chance to explore familiar concepts in a fun and engaging way.
Chris has worked in risk management roles for 18 years, predominantly within the criminal justice system, and the last four years within higher education.
Chris Griffin is the Director of Organisational Risk and Resilience for the University of Southampton. Concurrently, he is also an Independent Domestic Abuse Related Death Review Chair and Author and a Specialist Forensic Risk Assessor for sexual harm, domestic abuse, and partner vulnerability.
