Caroline acts for insurers and local authorities, dealing with a wide variety of employers’ and public liability claims. These range from accidents in schools, the workplace and care homes to carefully handling sensitive cases involving children or vulnerable persons. Caroline also deals with claims arising from allegations of abuse, data protection breaches and breach of the Human Rights Act. An active member of ALARM, Caroline regularly provides external training at both local and national ALARM events and has delivered seminars on a range of issues affecting the public sector. She also regularly provides bespoke in house training to clients on a broad range of topics.

Katherine Totty

Katherine has specialised in insurance fraud for over 20 years, with a particular focus on high value injury claims and first party and property claims. She advises clients on fraud detection and prevention, policy fraud and defend suspected fraudulent claims, seeking sanctions where appropriate. Katherine acts for a wide range of clients, including insurers, local authorities and SMEs. She oversaw a large scale claims farming operation which resulted in 100s of litigated property claims against a client. Kennedys were able to counter the claims with an enabler strategy resulting in a 98% success rate.
