Effective risk management is critical to project success. In this talk we will discuss some practical techniques for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks through the project lifecycle. We will also explain the approaches used at Mencap for risk tracking and reporting, using standardised risk logs and Power BI reporting to promote transparency and consistency across our projects.
I am the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) Manager at Mencap. My career has taken me into the private, public, and third sectors, and I’m keen to share my learnings from establishing and running successful PMOs and delivering high quality data analytics solutions in these areas!
My professional passion is for data analysis and BI development, with experience designing and embedding PMO and people data solutions for portfolio analytics, workforce planning, and Azure Cost Management reporting using the Microsoft Power Platform suite. Outside of my day job I am also a published creative writer and performer.
