In this session, Andrew and Andrew will focus on Cyber Insurance and how it can help improve cyber resilience. They will discuss how a policy works in practise across a number of areas including prevention, response and recovery when experiencing a cyber Incident.

The discussion will aim to provide key insights on how brokers align and ensure the insurance policy is not just a risk transfer product but also integrated with the wider organisational incident response and recovery plans of a business.

First they will focus on an overview of preventive solutions that insurers deploy to assist with assessment of the threat environment and aid with horizon scanning of emerging cyber risks. Next they will move into the incident response function of an insurance policy and how it operates during an incident. They will also cover the business interruption element faced during an incident how it is managed both practically and financially including its relationship with third party supply chain risks. Finally they will close with a focus on recovery and lessons learned for insurance policies delving into recent cyber claims and losses in the UK.
