In this session, Aidan will explore what considerations should be taken into account when designing, establishing and governing a risk-pool to build resilience. Delegates will learn about the type of questions to ask when deciding if a risk pool is the right course of action, the pitfalls to avoid and practical next steps, why a risk-pool can be more effective than ad-hob arrangement, and what value it creates. Experts will explain how insurers and reinsurers can support risk pools, how to align with existing risk transfer strategies and how best to engage with these stakeholders.
