Session 4 - Broker panel session: Tendering in uncertain times

2.15pm – 3pm BST, 13 May 2026 ‐ 45 mins

Session

Set against a backdrop of sustained market volatility and significant public sector reform, this panel session will explore the practical realities of insurance procurement and tendering in uncertain times. Bringing together senior perspectives from leading brokers Aon (Kirsteen Kett), Gallagher (Geoff Dunn) and Marsh (Julia Reffell), alongside insurer insight from Swiss Re (Areefih Forrest), the discussion will consider how public sector organisations can navigate complexity, maintain value and manage risk through periods of structural and policy change.

The panel will reflect on current and emerging challenges affecting procurement strategies, including local government reorganisation, devolution, Police and NHS reform. As venue hosts and new ALARM sponsors, Swiss Re will provide a fresh insurer perspective on market dynamics, risk transfer and long‑term resilience in the public sector.

Hosted by a member of the South East ALARM Regional Committee, this will be an interactive session, encouraging delegates to engage with panellists, share experiences and explore practical approaches to tender design, market engagement and decision‑making in an evolving and uncertain environment. Delegates are invited to submit questions in advance to: admin@alarmrisk.com.
