The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 (Martyn’s Law) received Royal Assent 3 April 2025.
In this session Donna will look at why Martyn’s Law was introduced; what types of venues and events it will apply to; the duties imposed by the Act and what events organisers need to be aware of to get ready for when the Act is enforced.
Donna Helgeson is a Principal Associate in Weightmans’ Regulatory Team specialising in health & safety and environmental matters. Donna has experience in dealing with all aspects of regulatory investigations and prosecutions instigated by a wide range of regulatory bodies and has acted for a broad range of clients from PLCs to sole traders across a range of industry sectors
