Mencap is the leading charity for the 1.5 million people in the UK with a learning disability, their families and carers. They operate over 580 services and provide personal support to almost 3,500 people each year.
They also work with thousands more people and families through their specialist information and advice services, targeted community programmes, advocacy and digital services. Their vision is for people with a learning disability to live their lives to the full.

Both ALARM and Mencap are celebrating milestone anniversaries in 2026 (ALARM - 35 years and Mencap - 80 years) and this, coupled with Mencap's dedication towards the promotion of inclusivity, made it an easy choice for our support. The Board is looking at a range of volunteering opportunities to cement its commitment to Mencap across 2026, and we look forward to welcoming representatives from Mencap to our gala awards dinner at Conference this June.
Members and sponsors will have the opportunity to donate to this worthwhile charity at the Risk Awards dinner on Monday 22 June during the charity raffle.
