He is also Associate Editor for Research and Innovation at Wonkhe. He is the former Head of Sustainability Policy and Civic Engagement and advisor to the Vice Chancellor at the University of Liverpool. James is the author of The New University Local Solutions to a Global Crisis, and holds a Masters in Public Administration.

Paddy Marshall

Paddy is an assurance consultant and client lead at Uniac. Having worked in the sector for seven years, Paddy is responsible for leading on Uniac’s environmental consultancy, as well as supporting their accommodation compliance, student mental health and student data returns portfolio. Paddy has conducted the analysis supporting the risk benchmarking working and is co-author of the sector papers.

David Tomlinson

Client Director, UNIAC

David is a Client Director, and Head of Internal Audit equivalent, serving five higher education providers within England. His diverse portfolio includes large city metropolitan Universities, a Russell Group University and a couple of smaller niche and Cathedral Group Universities. David has recently returned to the sector after working for five years in the telecommunications sector, which included a role responsible for IT and Cyber risk management.
