Salary: £61,686 - £64,938 (PO7)

The role
You will oversee the Council’s insurance service and lead operational risk management. This includes managing significant financial responsibilities in managing claims liabilities and premiums. You will represent the Council in the Insurance London Consortium, ensuring value for money and high-quality coverage. This is a specialist role requiring a relevant insurance or risk qualification and substantial experience in a large organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure risks, assets and liabilities are appropriately insured, including managing internal funds and external brokered arrangements.
- Act as the Council’s expert adviser on insurance and operational risk.
- Lead the Council’s involvement in the Insurance London Consortium.
