Alix Bedford

Risk Proposition Manager, Zurich Municipal

A strategic risk professional with over 18 years' experience working both with and within the public sector, Alix is passionate about the value of risk management and its role in driving improved resilience of organisations and communities. Her current role involves looking at the key emerging and evolving areas of risk impacting the public sector now and in the future, and leading Zurich Municipal's response to these. Alix is also leading on the sustainability agenda for Zurich Municipal, looking at climate, workforce, and data risks areas particularly.

Sally Rose

Risk & Insurance Consultant, Zurich Municipal

Sally has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. She joined the Zurich Municipal Underwriting team in 2011 and, developed a high level of technical expertise as a Senior Market Underwriter, before joining the Public Services team as a Risk & Insurance Consultant in 2021. In her role, she brings a unique blend of experience that enables her to develop innovative and forward-thinking solutions to the challenges faced by public service customers.

In 2022 Sally qualified as Professional Coach completing a level 5 apprenticeship and is currently studying towards the Chartered Insurance Institute FCII qualification.

Jake Hernandez

CEO, AnotherDay

Jake is the CEO of Gallagher’s crisis management and risk advisory company, AnotherDay. He specialises in advising large organisations on how they should react to a world that is inconstant flux, and how to use intelligence and technology to pre-empt and prepare for complex threats.

Jake was previously a Senior Consultant at Control Risks, and has worked in over 60 countries worldwide.

Chris Griffin

Head of Risk and Resilience, University of Warwick

Chris has worked in risk management roles for 18 years, predominantly within the criminal justice system, and the last four years within higher education. In his current role, Chris oversees risk management, incident management and planning at the University of Warwick.
